Sorry. So I said I would do a long post. But as life has it...it's all a matter of time. Have you ever tried to go a day without looking at a clock ? Your phone ? Anything ? It's tough but it's a great thing if you can do it. For many of us it's a bad habit. It's like the world will end if we don't know what time it is.
I remember being a kid and playing outside. I never had a care in the world what time it was. I ate when I was hungry, slept when it was dark and just enjoyed life. My kids now always ask...WHAT TIME IS IT ? Why would time matter to a kid ? Well..if they watch too much TV...time matters. I try to stop them from watching it as much as I can.
So this was a good intro to my post. Time. Never enough..or way too much. It's all perspective. And time has alot to do with your eating. Especially if you work a normal 9-5 job. You have to eat before you go to work, you have to eat lunch when you are told, and eat dinner when it's ready. We have our bodies programmed daily for this.
Going PRIMAL changed that for me. One of the toughest things to do is change your eating habits. But I have. I eat when I'm hungry. Period. I now eat only small amounts and listen to my body. Some mornings I eat nothing all all until I get to work. I may or may not eat at lunch. BUT. You have to prepare for it ! If you don't have food, you will start to obsess over it and it will ruin your day. It's not perfect but I'm still working through all of this.
So far I am down 22lbs ! I've lost a pant size from 38 to 36 and even those are getting loose on me ! Exercise is minimal but the weather is getting nice out so I will be outside soon ! And one of the things that made me the happiest...I can do a pullup now !! I haven't done one of those since highschool. And today..I did 2 !!!
So small steps, one day at a time...and forget about the time...listen to your body but prepare for the day.
